This position reports to Gender Equality Social Inclusion & Safeguarding Advisor, the Gender Equality Social Inclusion & Safeguarding Officer will be responsible for coordination, supervision and implementation of all the GESI and Safeguarding activities in accordance with the programme description and budget provisions as detailed in the sector workplans.

He/she will support the Gender Equality Social Inclusion & Safeguarding Advisor in ensuring the successful Integration of GOAL’s GESI & Safeguarding policies, guidelines and approaches in all program interventions, with the aim of creating safe, inclusive, and equitable access to program opportunities for young women and men, persons with disabilities, refugees, and other marginalized groups, while embedding robust prevention, reporting, and response mechanisms for safeguarding risk reduction.

Inductions and Training

• Conduct GESI & safeguarding inductions of locally recruited staff within 30 days of employment and ensure they understand and commit to policies and procedures related to GESI & safeguarding.
• Plan, organise and co-facilitate GESI and safeguarding training for programme teams and partners, on GESI & general safeguarding polies & procedures through formal training and refresher sessions.

The Partnership Officer reports directly to the Partnership Manager (PM). He/She will support the PM and the Finance Team in the management of Civil Society and Private Sector partners. The officer assists with the approval of partner proposals, oversight of the use of partner funds and building the capacity of partner organizations to achieve programme objectives. The Partnership Officer will work closely with the PM when assessing partners’ operational capacity, developing capacity building plans jointly with the partners and supporting the partners to achieve programme objectives. Overall, the role will contribute to ensuring that partners understand and use accountability frameworks including maintaining compliance with donor regulations and requirements

The Partnership Manager reporting directly to ASTYE Program Team Lead, will have overall responsibility for overseeing the coordination of all aspects of the partnership, financial and compliance deliverables of the partners (local CSO and private sector) in the programme across the project cycle in collaboration with the programme management unit (PMU) including the finance and programmes team. This includes leading due diligence assessments during co-design, assessing partners’ operational capacity and developing capacity building plans jointly with the partners, supporting the partners to achieve programme objectives and financial management and oversight over progress reports and partner payments. The role will also ensure partners understanding and use of accountability frameworks including maintaining compliance with donor regulations and requirements.

The Youth Empowerment Specialist will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of youth empowerment, community mindset transformation, and Nutrition Impact and Positive Practices (NIPP) interventions under the ASTYE Programme. The role will focus on strengthening youth agency particularly financially disadvantaged young women, refugees, and persons with disabilities by supporting youth groups, youth champions, civil society organisations /community-based organisations (CSOs/CBOs), and communities to improve dignified employment outcomes, food and nutrition security, and positive household practices within the agrifood system.

Academic Qualifications: 

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution Professional Qualifications:
• Registration and valid practicing license from the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid is an added advantage Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a clinical setting
• Experience in primary healthcare, outpatient care, and community health programs

Professional Qualifications:

Experience: 

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a primary healthcare setting or hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Tool Pusher in measuring, serializing, and inspecting drill pipes, casing, and tubing, including thread and bore checks.
• Contribute to checking, cleaning, and drifting casing, tubing, and accessories on site.
• Assist in managing and using site tool sledges, spare part sledges, and catwalk toolboxes.
• Support the organization and safekeeping of substructure, derrick, and lock pins.
• Contribute to managing and handling pipe thread protectors and lifting slings.
• Assist in maintaining rig lighting, cleaning work areas, and managing solid waste.
• Support the maintenance of a safe working environment on the rig.
