JOB PURPOSE:
Info Code Consults Ltd is seeking to hire The Laundry Machine Operator is responsible for
operating, monitoring, and maintaining washing, drying, ironing, and folding machines to
ensure efficient processing of customer laundry. The operator must adhere to standards of
quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while handling different types of fabrics and stains.
Key duties and Responsibilities:
➢ Operate washing machines, dryers, steamers, and pressing equipment safely and
efficiently.
➢ Sort laundry items by colour, fabric, and cleaning requirements.
➢ Load and unload laundry machines following capacity and operating
instructions.
➢ Monitor washing/drying cycles, adjusting settings and programs as needed.
➢ Measure and add detergents, softeners, or stain removers as required.
➢ Inspect laundry before and after processing to ensure cleanliness and proper
handling.
➢ Report any machine malfunctions, maintenance needs, or fabric damages.
➢ Ensure timely processing of customer orders as per service timelines.
➢ Follow company safety procedures and wear protective gear when necessary.
Key qualifications & Skills:
✓ Previous experience in a commercial laundry environment is an added
advantage.
✓ Basic understanding of laundry chemicals, machine operations, and fabric
care.
✓ Physically fit – able to stand for long hours and lift moderate loads.
✓ Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
✓ Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet daily targets.
✓ Good communication and teamwork skills.
✓ Certificate in Electrical is an added advantage
✓ Fluency in English and Luganda or local language is essential.
✓ Willingness to work weekends or extended hours where needed.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday), with flexibility
depending on business hours.
REMUNERATION: Competitive salary based on experience, with growth opportunities as
the business expands.
